Rev. Dallas F. Snyder II

Rev. Dallas Fleet Snyder II, 77, spiritually transitioned on 5/11/2020 in Santa Monica, CA.

He was born in Harrisburg, PA on 2/24/1943 to Dallas Fleet Snyder, Sr. & Alma Belle Keville and raised in Wheatfield Township, Perry Co., PA.

He graduated Susquenita HS in 1961, studied Speech and Drama at Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS and Religious Science in Atlanta, GA.

Dallas lived and worked in a variety of locations including Boston, MA (salesman), Utica and NYC, NY, Cherokee, NC (stage manager for Unto These Hillls), Atlanta, GA (restaurateur, realtor & Peachtree Hotel sommelier) and Knoxville, TN (founding minister of the Knoxville, TN Church of Religious Science) before moving to The Hollywood Dell community in Los Angeles, CA where he continued being a metaphysical therapist.

He is survived by a brother, JC (Jack) Snyder (Patsy) of Shiremanstown, a niece, Courtney Gray (Andy), a nephew, JD Snyder, a grandnephew, Brant Alexander Gray and a grandniece, Sydney Frances Gray.

Dallas has numerous friends throughout the US, including several from the Class of 1961, and many relatives including a double cousin, Dennis K. Snyder (Jane), whose children (Andrew, Rebecca & Jonathan) call him Uncle Dallas.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by an older sister, Martha Carol.


Dallas gifted his body to the UCLA School of Medicine.

No memorial service is planned due to COVID-19.

Burial of ashes to be in Evergreen Cemetery, Duncannon.
