Phyllis S. Mohler, 88, of West High Street, New Bloomfield, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 18, 2019. Born November 17, 1930 in Millerstown, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Annie (Gelnett) Shiffer.
She was a member of New Bloomfield United Methodist Church, Perry Chapter 459 Order of the Eastern Star. She was director emeritus of Pennian Bank, New Bloomfield Office and she was a retired Secretary of ASCS (conservation office). She enjoyed playing cards, birdwatching and gardening.
She was the widow of Donald N. Mohler and is survived by her husband, David A. Trout;. a son, Nathan Mohler and wife Sally of New Bloomfield and a daughter, Linda Johnson and husband Gregory of Carlisle; a sister, Sara Baer Daughenbaugh of Newport; a grandson, Matthew G. Johnson and wife Brittany of Chambersburg, and many stepchildren and step great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her late husband, she was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 4 sisters.
Services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, August 23, 2019 in the Boyer Family Funeral Home, 101 W. Main Street, New Bloomfield. Pastor Linda Shank will officiate. Burial will be in Bloomfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Eastern Star services will be held at 10:45 AM.
