Barbara Burgett

4/7/64 – 12/25/20

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

– 2 Corinthians 4:18

Barbara Burgett, 56, went to be with the Lord at her home in Elliottsburg, on Christmas Day, December 25, 2020, with her husband by her side. Born April 7, 1964 in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of Selvia (Swartz) Booher and the late Eugene Booher.
Barbara was known to have an infectious smile and a warm hug for everyone. She was a kind, caring, conscientious, loving and spiritual woman who always put the needs of others before her own. She spent many years working in the West Perry School District as a cafeteria worker. Barbara was a lifelong member of the Newport Assembly of God where she participated in several of their activities.
Barbara enjoyed watching Lifetime and Hallmark movies, especially during the holiday season. She loved cooking and baking, going out to eat, shopping, visiting her mother at a skilled facility but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
In addition to her father, Barbara is preceded in death by a brother, Barry Booher and two uncles, Elwood and Frank Booher.
Surviving is her loving husband of 31 years, Gregory, three children: Jessica Burgett and fiancé Joseph Anthony of Elliottsburg, Timothy Burgett of Loysville, and Rachel Burgett and significant other Ryan of Camp Hill. Also surviving is her mother Selvia Booher, two grandchildren, Gabriel Anthony and Nazareth Chronister, and siblings Shirley Long and Steven Booher.
