She was born in 1919 to the late William and Henrietta Cecelia (Spierling) Dunseath in Camden, NJ. She graduated second in her class from Audubon High School, Audubon, NJ.
She was the widow of Timothy J. Shanahan III who died in 2002 after 62 years of marriage. She assisted her husband for many years running a trucking company and was a homemaker, loved to read, do puzzles, shop, and do things with her grandchildren. She attended Newport Assembly of God Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Carol Simon and husband Michael of Ickesburg, PA, Maureen K. Kirk and husband Ronald of Moberly, MO, a son Theodore P. Shanahan and wife Barbara J. of PA, daughter-in-law Kay Shanahan of mount Holley, NJ, ten grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, three great great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Dr. William James Ross Dunseath and a son, Timothy J. Shanahan IV.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
